Partnership with Math Motivators

The Statistics Department at Purdue University is partnering with the Math Motivators program to offer high school students free tutoring in mathematics. Pictured here is interim department head Xiao Wang, representatives from the Math Motivators program and some of the nearly ninety students signed up to attend the info session. That is twice the number of of students who participated last year! The goal of the program is for college students to mentor, tutor and encourage high school students to explore studies and careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields.
