Congratulations to Dr. Mark Daniel Ward on his induction into the Purdue University Teaching Academy. It is a testament to his excellence in teaching, innovation, service, and scholarship as recognized by his peers.

The Teaching Academy strives to bring together the best teaching faculty across campus to create a collective voice for teaching and learning. Faculty are nominated and selected by their peers to join this diverse group. The primary focus of the Teaching Academy is to increase the effectiveness of the entire faculty at Purdue University.

Also save the date for the Purdue Teaching Academy Day on Tuesday, September 29 from 9:00-11:30am and 1:30-4:00pm in STEW 218 A, B, and C.

The Teaching Academy Day is a series of 20-minute presentations by Teaching Academy members who will share insights and classroom experiences on twenty teaching topics. These multi-track, short sessions provide an excellent opportunity for those with a teaching interest to pick up some valuable tips on a wide variety of topics ranging from teaching international students to providing effective instruction in large classrooms to a variety of different teaching techniques. No registration is required and attendees are encouraged to come and go as their schedule interest dictates.
