James O. and Ann L. Berger make $1M unrestricted gift to the Department of Statistics

James O. and Ann L. Berger ($1M; Department of Statistics, College of Science):

Jim and Ann have designated 20% of their estate, currently valued at $1,000,000, towards the Department of Statistics within the College of Science.  Due to their lifelong work in academia, Jim and Ann are passionately focused on the operating side of academia.  Their unrestricted gift will allow the department to use the funds at their own discretion in a way that is most meaningful for Purdue Statistics.
