Welcome Xinhua Zhang

Xinhua Zhang joined the Department of Statistics in February as a Visiting Scholar. He is working with Professor S. V. N. Vishwanathan to complete requirements toward his doctoral degree from the Australian National University. His current research is in the area of optimization for machine learning. Zhang received his Master of Science in Computer Science in January of 2006 from National University of Singapore and his Bachelor of Engineering in July 2003 in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China.
