Neville in AI's 10 to Watch

Professor Jennifer NevilleThe IEEE Intelligent Systems May/June 2008 issue declares Professor Jennifer Neville an AI leader of the future. Neville is one of ten researchers highlighted in the IEEE 2008 AI's 10 to Watch list. This honor, reserved for researchers who have completed their doctoral work in the last couple years, acknowledges researchers' early contributions and future potential to the field.

Neville joined Purdue in 2006 as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Statistics. Her research focuses on data mining and machine learning techniques for relational data. She received her PhD from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2006. Neville's research also attracted recognition with a DARPA Young Investigator Award in 2003 and a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship in 2000. She was nominated for the ACM Doctoral Dissertation Award in 2006 and a Microsoft New Faculty Fellowship Finalist in 2007. She is also a member of the 2007 DARPA Computer Science Study Panel.

AI's 10 to Watch list is determined by an IEEE Intelligent Systems committee. Nominees presented to the committee come from CS department chairs, AAAI Fellows, and the publication's readers.
