STATCOM Featured in Amstat News

STATCOM's success is being recognized in the February issue of Amstat News. Established five years ago, the Department of Statistics? STATCOM program provides free statistical consulting as a community service to local governments and nonprofit organizations. The feature article in Amstat News describes STATCOM, its history, benefits, and factors of success. STATCOM hopes the article will encourage the development of similar student-driven programs at other universities. Having developed a successful model of statistical consulting as both community service and service learning, STATCOM welcomes partnerships with others interested in similar work.
