Shugart and Himmelberger Named 2010 College of Science Distinguished Alumni

Edward R. Shugart III (B.S. Mathematics 1963) and David Himmelberger (M.S. Statistics 1972) are to be honored as the Actuarial Sciences Program and the Department of Statistics, respectively, 2010 College of Science Distinguished Alumni on Friday, April 16th at the College of Science awards program. The awards were established in 1990 to recognize outstanding achievement by Science alumni in professional and related fields of endeavor.

Shugart is Vice-President of Actuarial Management Resources, Inc. and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. To learn about Shugart and his career, read his short bio.

Himmelberger will give a talk titled "Herpes Zoster - Getting old can be painful. The rationale for immunization" on Friday April 16, 2010 at 10:30- 11:30 am in HAAS 111.

A coffee hour will be held from 3:00pm - 4:00pm in HAAS 111.
