2009 Distinguished Alumnus William Stout

William F. Stout of Champaign, Ill. is a statistics professor at the University of Illinois. From 2001 to 2002 Stout served as president of the Psychometric Society, an international organization devoted to the advancement of quantitative measurement practices in psychology, education and the social sciences. Stout received his master's degree and doctorate from Purdue in 1964 and 1967, respectively. He earned his bachelor's degree from Penn State University in 1962.
