Dr. Raymond J. Carroll is a Distinguished Professor of Statistics, Nutrition and Toxicology at Texas A&M University. He received his Ph.D. in 1974 from the Department of Statistics at Purdue University . Professor Carroll has been awarded most of the major honors in Statistics including the COPSS President’s Award (awarded annually to a major research statistician under the age of 40), the COPSS Fisher Lecture, the Snedecor Award and the Wilcoxon Prize. He is an elected Fellow of the American Statistical Association and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics.
