Double Major in Statistics and Actuarial Science

The interdisciplinary Actuarial Science Program is jointly administered by the Department of Statistics and the Department of Mathematics. Actuarial Science students are encouraged to declare Statistics as a second major. Depending on when a student entered Purdue, a double major in Actuarial Science and Statistics is either automatic or achievable by taking one additional course. Most actuarial majors obtain the statistics degree with a management minor.
