QTL Analysis

QTL Plot

Quantitative trait loci (QTL) are regions of a genome that are associated with quantitative traits (some measurable feature). QTL are typically large segments of DNA that potentially contain hundreds of genes that are associated with the trait of interest. Once found via statistical methods, the results of QTL analysis help researchers refine their understanding of gene function.
