Associate Professor Guang Cheng receives a Simons Foundation Fellowship. The Simons Fellows in Mathematics awards are given based on the applicant's scientific accomplishment in the five-year period preceding the application and on a judgment of the potential scientific impact. The Simons fellowship provides an academic year-long research leave from classroom teaching and administrative obligations. Dr. Cheng will conduct his research at Princeton University in the 2014-2015 academic year.
