Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or its equivalent) in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or a closely related field.

Successful candidates are expected to develop a vibrant research program supported by extramural funding, teach undergraduate and/or graduate mathematics and/or statistics courses to a diverse student body, mentor students, and participate in the design and development of the Actuarial Science program and curriculum. Senior faculty will also mentor junior faculty and participate in the governance of the department, the College of Science, and Purdue University by serving on faculty committees.
