Abstract:

Huge amounts of gene expression data have been obtained by the microarray technology. Such data have been useful for inferring gene expression patterns (such as coexpression of genes), gene regulatory networks, evolution of expression divergence between duplicate genes, and many other issues. To pursue such studies, however, it is necessary to develop new measures or methods for data analysis. I shall present our studies on the expression divergence between duplicate genes, evolution of gene expression in mammals, and prediction of transcription factors involved in a function or process such as the yeast cell cycle.
