Abstract:

The manufacture of medicines requires the use of controls to guarantee product quality and conformance to specifications. The strategy to reduce the variability among dosage units is called dose control. In this talk I will address the importance of dose control in parenteral products, the complexity of the problem, the control strategy, the role of statistics, and possible ways to evaluate the effectiveness of the controls.
