Announcements (All updates will be posted here - you are responsible for all information listed)
- Mon. Aug. 13: I understand that there is an electronic version of the textbook; however, most students do not find this version convenient though it is cheaper and end up buying the hardback version anyway. Note: It might be acceptable to buy the cheaper electronic version and then print out all of the pages and put them in a 3-ring binder.
- Mon. Aug. 13: If you want to read ahead, we will be starting on Chapter 1 on the first day of class.
- Mon. Aug. 20: Welcome to the class!
- Tues. Sept. 11: I have just updated both the homework and exam page. The due date for the project is now listed, the first midterm has been moved and one of the quizzes has been cancelled. Please see the respective pages for details.
- Wed. Sept. 12: There was a mistake on homework 4, I had put 3.3.4 twice instead of 3.3.3 and 3.3.4. It is now corrected.
- Sat. Sept. 15: The SAS Group Project is now posted on the Homework page. Remember, this is NOT an individual project. Please create groups from 2 - 4 to work together. If you find any typos in the project, please let me know so that I can correct them.
- Tues. Sept. 25: I made a mistake in the homework #5. The first problem should be 4.3.9, not 4.3.8. Sorry for the confusion.
- Mon. Oct. 15: I am sorry that I forgot to tell you what was going to be on the quiz on Wednesday. It will be all or part of the hypothesis test. You will need to know the 9 (8) steps including how to calculate the test statistic. You will be given a t-table so that you can calculate tc.
- Wed. Oct. 24: There was a typo in HW 8. The last problem is from chapter 7, not chapter 6.
- Thurs. Nov. 1: There was a typo in the extra problems for hypothesis testing. In problem 7, the SE and s values were the same. I have updated and replaced the file; SE was correct, s was incorrect. Sorry for the confusion.
- Mon. Nov. 5: I just updated the Objectives for Midterm 2 correct the typo that was found in class today.
- Sun. Nov. 11: The df for question #9 has been added to the web site. Sorry for the inconvenience.
- Thurs. Nov. 15: I have finally posted the second SAS project. Because I have posted it so late, I will give you more time to complete it. It is due the last day of class, Dec. 8.
- Mon. Dec. 3: As I mentioned in class, we will be going over the case studies in class on Wednsday. However, I forgot to tell you that they are located on the Misc. Information web page.
