Abstract

A thorough analysis of cancer-associated proteins in the sera of cancer patients has value for the improved understanding and diagnosis of the disease. We have developed a variety of antibody and protein microarray methods that help enable such studies by providing multiplexed measurements of specific proteins in low sample volumes. These methods have been used for a variety of complementary applications, such as profiling cancer-associated alterations in multiple serum proteins, measuring changes in specific glycan levels on serum proteins, and screening for the presence of serum antibodies against tumor proteins. This talk will present an overview of the methods and their applications to the study of serum-protein alterations in cancer.
