STAT 502 - Course Outline

  1. Review and Introduction: SAS, statistical inference, simple linear regression

  2. Multiple Regression Analysis: models, full versus reduced model tests, prediction, diagnostics, choosing and using regression models

  3. Producing Data: design of experiments; design of sample surveys; the importance of randomization; sampling distributions and variability.

  4. Review: tests about means, one-way ANOVA

  5. Comparing Group Means: contrasts and multiple comparisons in ANOVA

  6. Factorial Designs: main effects and interactions, balanced and unbalanced data, contrasts and multiple comparisons

  7. Topics in ANOVA: mixed models, analysis of covariance

  8. Repeated Measures Designs
