After 4 days of finals, Cory and I took a trip to the Red. We left around noon on Thursday, and expected to get back on Sunday. We spent Thursday afternoon at Phantasia. Thursday night was spent camping at Miguel's. Friday was Roadside. Back at Miguel's for the night. We retired pretty early, since a storm dropped on us out of nowhere.
Saturday morning, we hiked up to Military Wall. We were instantly spit off Sunshine and Moonbeam due to condensation from the sandstone. We headed over to Left Flank to try our luck. Mr. Bungle and Face Up That Crack were nicer to us. As we finished up lunch, the sky opened up again. Some poor guy was three bolts up, at the crux on Maypop. He was soaked by the time he got back to the ground. After the shower let up, we packed up and headed home.
Other than rain, Cory's first time out wasn't too bad. We hit some fairly entertaining stuff and made it back in one piece.
That's Creature Feature, wet. 60' haul to the top.
Me at the top.
Me again. You can see the roof at the bottom of the picture.
Cory on the ledge beneath the roof.
He made it too!
One of the "falls" on Roadside.
Another shot.

Umm, lunch.
Working on something at Roadside.
Cory's first outdoor lead on Mr. Bungle.
Still Cory, still Mr. Bungle.
Time for a rest.
All the photos, really big.
