Do not quit your browser -- if you do it will kill the ssh applet. You can iconify it or go to another website, just don't quit it.

A new window should a appear in a few seconds (or longer if you are dialed up) that will allow you to connect to odds.stat.purdue.edu via SSH. If no window appears it may mean that your browser does not have Java enabled. If so, enable it and try again.
