Department of Statistics hosted an Alumni
and Friends reception at the Hyatt Regency in Denver, Colorado on August 3, 2008 during the
2008 Joint Statistical Meetings. Approximately 40 alumni
and friends attended the reception.

Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, gave the group updates on the activities, programs and people
within the College of Science and
Mary Ellen Bock, Department of Statistics
Head, updated the group about the Department's activities including the Dean's appointment of Professor Rebecca W. Doerge as Interim Department Head for 2008-2009 during her sabbatical. The Department looks forward to gathering again with our alumni and friends at the
2009 Joint Statistical Meetings in Washington, D.C.
