Purdue to Host 1st Annual Midwest Actuarial Student Conference

Purdue's Department of Actuarial Science — a shared program between the Departments of Statistics and Mathematics — will host the 1st Annual Midwest Actuarial Student Conference on October 19, 2013. This event, co-hosted by the University of Illinois, will be a one day conference for college students who are studying or interested in Actuarial Science. The day will include six presentations of interest to Actuarial Science students, including presentations by the MLC Exam Chair for the Society of Actuaries and the President of the Casualty Actuarial Society. There is no cost for attending the conference, and breakfast and lunch will be provided. An optional dinner will be available for an additional cost of $15, and a bowling party has also been scheduled for Friday night, October 18th.

The deadline to register is Oct 5th, and registration is limited to the first 230 students who register.
