Abstract

We consider a space of locally finite configurations of infinitely many particles on the negative real line, such that each configuration has a rightmost particle at 0. At discrete moments of time the particles perform independent identically distributed jumps. Afterwards each configuration is shifted so that the rightmost particle is at 0. We show that every probability measure on the space of configurations which is invariant under this dynamics must be supported on the mixture of Poisson processes with densities s*e^{-sx} for s>0.

Refreshments will be available in MATH Library at 4:15 p.m.
