Role of Statistics and Information Sciences Abstract This talk will present a brief overview of the Drug Discovery and Development process. New technologies (Genomics, High Throughput Screening, Combinatorial Chemistry...) are reshaping activities in pharmaceutical companies. The impact of these new technologies as well as the evolving role of the statistician in the drug industry will be discussed.
