Honors

At Purdue, students earn "distinction" based on their overall grade point average. Students earn "honors" by taking honors programs in their major subject. The designation "with honors in statistics" may be awarded at commencement to students who have completed the Statistics Major with Mathematical Statistics Option with distinction who also takes STAT 516 and STAT 517 and substitutes MA 440 for MA 341; and MA 442 for MA 362.
