Double Major in Statistics and Actuarial Science
The interdisciplinary Actuarial Science Program is jointly administered by the Department of Statistics and the Department of Mathematics. A student who takes the recommended course, STAT 350, in addition to all the required Actuarial Science courses, will have fulfilled all of the requirements for the Statistics Major with the Applied Statistics Options. Actuarial Science students are encouraged to declare Statistics as a second major. Most actuarial majors obtain the statistics degree with a management minor.| In accordance with Purdue Policies, all persons have equal access to Purdue University's educational programs, services and activities, without regard to race, religion, color, sex, age, national origin or ancestry, marital status, parental status, sexual orientation, disability or status as a disabled or Vietnam-era veteran.
